World Premiere: EIRICH Unveils the CleanLine C150 Hygienic Multiprocessor

With the new CleanLine C150, EIRICH is expanding its product line of hygienically designed one-pot multiprocessors to include a high-performance production model. The world premiere will take place from September 29 until October 1, 2026, at Powtech in Nuremberg.

Hardheim, July 2026: What connects the food, specialty chemicals, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries? In all of these industries, products are manufactured under strict hygiene requirements. In addition to reproducibility, trueness to the recipe, efficiency, and product safety, thorough cleaning, quick product changeovers, and cost-effective production are becoming increasingly important. At Powtech, Eirich will demonstrate how these demands can be met with high-quality mixing and processing solutions. A special highlight of the trade show presentation will be the debut of the new CleanLine C150 multiprocessor.

“The CleanLine C150 extends our one-pot concept to larger batches and opens up new possibilities for life sciences production. Multiple process steps and different recipes can be carried out in a single system, allowing users to design their processes more versatile and reduce the need for separate units,” explains Markus Pannig, Head of Product Management at EIRICH.

More Than Just a Mixer: 150-Liter One-Pot Processing

The Eirich working principle, proven over decades, forms the technological foundation of the new CleanLine C150. Its process technology extends far beyond simple mixing. Different basic operations can be specifically combined within a single process chamber. This transforms the classic intensive mixer into a versatile one-pot multiprocessor.

Depending on the product and recipe, processes such as mixing, dispersing, granulation, coating, kneading, and drying can be carried out in the same machine and within a single batch—either in specific orders or in parallel. The product does not need to be transferred to additional units between the individual process steps.

Additional functions such as heating, cooling, and process control under vacuum expand the range of applications. This allows for the processing of temperature-sensitive raw materials and the implementation of more complex process sequences within a single machine. Consequently, the targeted reaction of different substances under controlled process conditions is a common application.

This provides users with a great deal of versatility in product development and production scheduling. Recipes and process sequences can be versatile, different products can be manufactured on the same system, and the number of additional units within the process line can be reduced. Fewer transition points also mean a low space requirement, fewer product losses, and a reduced danger of contamination.

For larger batches and high hygiene requirements

With an effective volume of 150 liters, the C150 complements the existing machine sizes in the CleanLine family. While the CleanLine C5, with its 5-liter capacity, is used primarily for development tasks, pilot applications, and small production runs, the C150 is designed for applications involving larger batches.

The machine was developed for production environments with high standards for hygiene, cleanability, and product safety. Product-contacting areas are easily accessible, and the design prevents dirt traps and unnecessary dead spaces that are constructive. Components can be quickly dismounted and remounted. This shortens cleaning times and speeds up product changeovers. High-quality stainless steel surfaces, as well as FDA-compliant materials and seals, support the hygienic design concept.

Practical Product and Process Development 

The CleanLine C150’s range of applications extends from food ingredients and functionalized food additives to nutraceuticals and dietary supplements, as well as cosmetics and select applications in the pharmaceutical industry. Components to be processed include flavors, vitamins, minerals, proteins, enzymes, and other functional substances.

Possible processes include homogeneous mixing, microgranulation, instantization, coating, and (micro)encapsulation. This allows sensitive components to be protected and properties such as solubility, dosability, flowability, bulk density, or further processability to be specifically set. For suitable products, mixing granulation can also serve as a compact and efficient alternative to spray tower or fluidized bed processes, reducing the need for conditioned process air, additional units, and transition points—not to mention the energy consumption associated with the use of hot gas. The particle size distribution (PSD) is adjustable during parameterization.

At the Eirich test center, process parameters are developed in close collaboration with the customer using the original raw materials in a practical manner. The results form the basis for potential production plants and the scale-up to larger batches
