Eirich celebrates milestones in India, China, and Japan

International markets play a special role for the company

Hardheim, August 30, 2024 – The Eirich Group has celebrated three important anniversaries this year: 50 years of Eirich in Japan, 30 years in China, and 25 years in India. Speaking about these special events, CEO Stephan Eirich has praised the exceptional commitment of the over 400 employees at the three Asian sites and emphasized the key strategic importance of the Asian markets. In India the company has also opened a new manufacturing site at the same time.

Eirich’s global strategy – a guarantee for success
Global sites offer industrial companies a wide range of advantages. When it comes to marketing and selling specialized investment goods that not only require a good deal of support and face-to-face explanation but are also pivotal to the overall success of the customer's entire production facility, closeness to the market in particular is absolutely vital. Not only is it a major competitive advantage to be able to supply spare parts and offer customer service locally in the region whilst also being able to advise clients on process engineering matters in the local language – today, this is what customers expect and appreciate. It allows growth potential to be fully exploited and enables successful long-term positioning in the global market. 
Eirich, the world leader in mixing and preparation technology, already recognized these advantages over 70 years ago and built up its international business accordingly. In their travels, the previous generation of business leaders at Eirich, in particular Paul and Walter Eirich, learned to appreciate early on the huge importance of internationalization and started putting the first building blocks in place with cooperations and joint ventures abroad. This saw the company open its first overseas subsidiary in North America at the end of the 1950s, followed by similar ventures in Japan, Brazil, China, India, France, South Africa, Italy and the CIS, and more recently in Australia and Thailand.

Asia – a key market for the future
This year's anniversaries in Japan, China, and India and the associated successes have shown quite how important these markets are, not only now but also for the future. Asia, and here China and India in particular, are major customers for industrial equipment and production machinery. Eirich’s own production sites in these regions allow the company to respond faster and more efficiently to local demand and to secure or even expand its market share. “For us it was always important to give the local employees in these regions major freedoms in terms of leadership and organization. We still live by the motto of ‘local for local’ to ensure that we truly are close to our customers. Even after half a century, our subsidiaries and production sites in Asia are important pillars of the Eirich Group and underline the competitiveness of the company,” explains CEO Stephan Eirich.

Ability to innovate, closeness to the customer, supply chain reliability

“The Asian region is incredibly important for us. Being close to our customers helps us to keep finding new applications and to push the right innovations that meet the needs of the relevant customer groups. This has helped us to develop reliable and highly capable products and to position ourselves successfully in the market,” explains CEO Stephan Eirich.
Eirich continuously adapts its machines to the regional requirements of the relevant markets. With the focus market of India, Eirich has been able to create significant advantages in terms of incorporating the regions in its global supply chain. Thanks to its newly opened production site and a strong network of companies across the Eirich Group, Eirich India is able to supply parts or complete machines to overseas markets.

Tradition, innovation, and a global presence – the future is bright

The long-established company from the Odenwald mountains in Germany always celebrates its international successes together with all employees, and last year’s 160th anniversary of the company in Germany was no different.
“With the incredible knowledge and expertise we have built up over the last 160 years, our constant willingness to try out new ideas and embark on innovative ways of doing things, and our ability to collaborate across borders, we are going to shape a successful future together. It goes without saying that the people who work for and with us play a pivotal role in all of this. On top of this, there will also be celebrations later this year to mark the 100th anniversary of the invention of the Eirich Mixer. And even though Eirich has already been proving its strength with the special Eirich mixing principle for a century, today the company is still able to provide its customers with innovative solutions across a wide range of industries. After many years of hard work, the “hidden champion” can now enjoy another opportunity to celebrate.
