Better together: EIRICH focuses on collaboration and technological flexibility

Hardheim, April 2026: The path from battery research to large-scale production can only be achieved through collaboration. Under the motto “Better together,” mixing and plant specialist Eirich will demonstrate at the Battery Show Europe 2026 in Stuttgart how close cooperation with research, development, and production becomes a decisive factor for success. Because battery technologies are evolving rapidly, manufacturers need future-proof solutions. EIRICH delivers exactly that: a mixing system for current and future processes—without the need for major new investments with every technological leap.

Partnership on a Gigawatt Scale

Together with Eirich, customers and partners implement battery technology across all scales: from the first laboratory test with a 30-ml material volume until a fully operational gigafactory, the experts in process technology and systems engineering provide support throughout the entire process chain. International reference projects on a gigawatt scale, including the pilot system at ACC’s Industrial Excellence Center in Nersac (FR) and the equipment for a nonstop scaling chain at the UK Battery Industrialization Center (UK BIC), attest to the high and internationally leading standard. In addition to battery manufacturers, EIRICH also provides experience as a partner for institutions and researchers driving the advancement of battery technology.

“Our international reference projects in the gigafactory segment, as well as in over 100 laboratory facilities and numerous pilot lines, demonstrate our deep expertise in battery technology, which we are happy to contribute to the development of innovative solutions with our partners. Eirich stands for investment security and technological progress—far beyond conventional mixing systems,” says Dr. Stefan Gerl, Head of Process Technology at Eirich.

One system for everything – future-proofing through technological flexibility

The battery industry faces a key question: How can I ensure my investment remains future-proof as cell chemistries and electrode strategies continue to evolve? EIRICH delivers the answer with versatile mixing systems for lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and all-solid-state batteries. Whether wet slurry, semi-wet, or dry electrode processes—even a retroactive technology change is possible with relatively little time and effort. This protects investments and makes production lines ready for future generations of battery cells.

Maximum flexibility—from button cell labs until complete solutions

Eirich also covers the entire spectrum: from stand-alone machines to subsystems and turnkey complete solutions. The open system architecture enables integration into virtually any production environment. Furthermore, the company supports new business models such as the foundry model, in which production capacities are versatile and utilized for different Customers.

Live at the booth: CleanLine C5 laboratory mixer and 3D plant model

At this year’s Battery Show, visitors can see the high-performance performance of EIRICH technology for themselves: The CleanLine C5 laboratory mixer will demonstrate the preparation of anode material in live demonstrations. A detailed 3D plant model compares wet and dry preparation on a Gigafactory scale and visualizes the concrete advantages of the EIRICH solution: smaller footprint, lower construction height, shorter distances, and significantly lower energy and resource requirements.

“European Battery Innovators” of the German Engineering Federation

As a member of the German Engineering Federation Battery Production division, EIRICH is participating in the joint presentation of the “European Battery Innovators.” Under this umbrella, the member companies showcase their combined innovative strength and demonstrate how European constructional engineering enables holistic solutions for battery cell production through experience, close collaboration, and deep technological and process know-how. With guided tours on innovative topics, they help visitors gain an overview of relevant technologies, solution approaches, and market trends.

Paper on Wednesday

Furthermore, EIRICH is participating in the Innovation Stage at Battery Show Europe with the paper “Why Mixer Type and Mixing Process Matter for Cost-Effective Production of High-Quality Batteries,” delivered by Dr. Stefan Gerl, Project Director LIB & Head of Process Technology. On this platform, organized by the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and RECHARGE on Wednesday, member companies will present their innovations, latest technological approaches, and current developments for industrial battery cell production in short technical presentations.

The Battery Show Europe 2026 will take place from June 9 to 11 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center. Mixing specialist EIRICH can be found in Hall 1, Booth G16.
